Purple Belt

Represents the beginning of summer and life itself. The student must work hard and demonstrate perseverance in order to reach and grow like a plant. After learning the basic techniques, the student now applies the skills in sparring and in combinations.

  • I don’t blame others if I make a mistake.
  • I try not to yell when I get upset.
  • I stop and think before I act.
  • I am gracious to my opponent in competitions whether I win or lose.
  • I walk away to cool off if my brothers or sister makes me angry.
  • I don’t’ lose my temper when I don’t catch onto something right away.
  • I wait for the teacher to finish talking before asking for help.

Poomsae

Taegeuk 5 oh Jang 태극 5 장 [taegeug oh jang]Wind

Wind is a gentle force, but can be furious, destroying everything in its path. Poomsae is intended to be performed like the wind: gently, but knowing the ability of mass destruction with a single movement.

Purple Belt will learn #1~12 motions.

20 Front Kick keep knee height + Cross Stance Back Fist Strike w/Kihap stomping with the edge of the foot  which should be turned 45°at the same time.
